Cape Town – Media mogul and veteran actress, Connie Ferguson, has been paying loving tributes to her husband, Shona, since his passing, and an anniversary of his death would not have gone unnoticed.
The actor and producer’s death on July 30, 2021, shook the South African arts and entertainment industry.
At the age of 47, Shona, whose full name was Aaron Arthur Ferguson, died at Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg, as a result of Covid-19 complications.
His wife of 19 years, Connie, who has been grieving his death openly, marked the first anniversary since his death, in a loving message of remembrance on her Instagram page.

“1 year without your physical presence today and God continues to walk with us as we navigate our new reality. We miss you so much my LOVE but it is well. We are okay,
“You continue resting. You live on in our hearts and minds. Memories are forever and are a treasure. Love you for eternity,” she wrote.
Celebrities, friends, and followers flooded the comments section with words of comfort.
Soon after Shona’s death, Connie promised to keep her late husband’s legacy alive.
She announced the launch date for the Ferguson foundation in his memory recently.
Before his death, Shona announced that his family production company, Ferguson Films, was going to open a school to groom young talent and serve as a ladder for young creatives.
This year would have marked the couple’s 20th wedding anniversary.
“We had this dance planned for our 20th. I remember when he was in hospital I kept on reminding him that he owes me a dance. The very early morning of the 30th I said to him one more day and it didn’t pan out that day,” Connie told kaya969’s morning show recently.
