Johannesburg – The March and March Movement has adopted a three-month national action plan aimed at addressing irregular migration following a special National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on 3 July.
According to IOL, the movement plans to stage peaceful demonstrations, pickets and blitz operations across major economic centres while engaging political parties that support its agenda.
“The movement reaffirms its position to engage with all political parties that are not hostile to the agenda against irregular migration,” the statement said.

It also intends to launch a public campaign encouraging people to report companies suspected of employing foreign nationals in violation of South African immigration laws.
In a statement, the movement said it believes sustained mass action is necessary to bring about government action and urged supporters to continue peaceful protests.
The organisation also rejected allegations that its campaign targets poor black Africans, saying its focus is on the equal enforcement of immigration and municipal laws regardless of race, nationality or socioeconomic status, according to The Citizen.
