Cape Town – Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Education in Gauteng and one of the youngest Members of the Provincial Legislature, Moipone Mhlongo, has been safely reunited with her family following a kidnapping ordeal.
According to reports, Mhlongo was hijacked and abducted on Monday evening in Etwatwa, Ekurhuleni, under unclear circumstances.

The Gauteng Provincial Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Community Safety confirmed her safe return on the same day, The Citizen reported.
“The Committee remains relieved that Hon. Mhlongo was found safe on the same day after enduring an extremely traumatic ordeal with senseless criminals,” the report quoted the committee as saying.
