Cape Town – Regional airline Airlink will introduce direct flights between Cape Town International Airport and Lanseria International Airport from 4 December 2026, offering travellers an alternative to Johannesburg’s busy OR Tambo International Airport.
The new route will initially operate twice daily in each direction, connecting Cape Town with Lanseria, which serves communities and businesses in western Gauteng and parts of North West province.
Airlink chief executive de Villiers Engelbrecht said the service would provide passengers with another travel option between the two regions.
“Travel options on this route have been limited, and our intention is to give passengers a comfortable and enjoyable alternative for travelling between the two regions, while also complementing our existing services to O.R. Tambo,” Engelbrecht said in a statement published by Airlink.
