Cape Town – Vuyokazi Nciweni has made a surprise return to Izingane zeS’thembu, years after stepping away from the reality show and its coverage of her relationship with Mpumelelo Mseleku.
Her comeback was teased in a preview for the latest episode, showing her back in the Mseleku family’s world and preparing to face Mpumelelo, with whom she shares two children.
The appearance comes after Nciweni previously said she would not return to the show, choosing instead to focus on her own life and brand outside the family’s reality television storyline.
The preview suggests the former couple’s meeting centres on Mpumelelo’s request to be involved in his children’s lives.
The moment has renewed interest in their relationship, which has remained a talking point among viewers even after their separation.
Nciweni has previously spoken publicly about the challenges of raising their children. She had claimed Mpumelelo was not involved in raising them and that there was no co-parenting arrangement in place.
The preview, which showed the former couple sitting across from each other as they prepared to talk.

Some welcomed Nciweni’s return, while others questioned why she had agreed to appear on the show again after previously choosing to step away.
Nciweni became a familiar face to viewers through her relationship with Mpumelelo, the son of businessman and reality television personality Musa Mseleku. Their relationship formed part of the family dynamics explored on Izingane zeS’thembu, a spin-off of Uthando neS’thembu.
Her return adds another chapter to a story that has played out in public, with viewers now waiting to see whether the conversation between her and Mpumelelo will bring clarity to their co-parenting situation.
For now, the preview has offered only a glimpse of their interaction, leaving the full conversation and its outcome to be seen on screen.
