Cape Town – Jacques Potgieter’s former girlfriend, Lizane “Lalla” Wagner, has shared a series of cryptic social media posts following reports that the former Springbok has reconciled with his wife, Angelique Gerber.
The posts come just weeks after Lizane confirmed the end of her three-year relationship with Potgieter, who has since hinted that he and Angelique have given their marriage another chance.
“I know my truth, and that’s enough. Their opinions don’t define me, and they will never bring me down. God’s got my back,” Lizane wrote in one of her recent posts.
Potgieter and Lizane began dating in early 2023, reportedly a few months after his separation from Angelique in 2022. Despite their relationship, Potgieter previously revealed that he remained legally married to Angelique, the mother of his three children.

Last month, Lizane confirmed that the couple had gone their separate ways after three years together. Since then, both have removed photos of each other from their social media accounts, signalling the end of their relationship.
“Believe in yourself. Let them. Let them gossip,” Lizane shared in another post, a message many believe reflects her response to the public attention surrounding the split.
In recent weeks, Lizane has focused on spending time with family and friends while maintaining her fitness routine, regularly sharing updates from the gym on social media.
Meanwhile, Potgieter appears to have rekindled his relationship with Angelique. The former Springbok, who now heads up the Centurion Rugby Club, has posted several photos of himself alongside his wife, fuelling speculation that the pair are back together.

One of his latest posts left little room for doubt, carrying the caption: “You make my heart beat fast again.”
Although neither Potgieter nor Angelique has publicly confirmed their reconciliation, their recent social media activity has strongly suggested that they are giving their relationship another chance after years apart.
