Kyiv – Ukrainian authorities said Tuesday that Russian strikes killed four people around the country, as Moscow targets energy and transport infrastructure with winter approaching.
The attacks came after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Kyiv would resume hitting Russian refineries in the face of unrelenting strikes.
Three people died in the Kyiv region, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine wrote on Telegram.
One person was killed in strikes on Zaporizhzhia in the southeast, according to the head of the regional military administration Ivan Fedorov.
The attacks wounded at least 11 people, they said.
The conflict is Europe’s deadliest since World War II, and US-led diplomatic efforts to end the fighting have stalled as Washington shifts focus to the war with Iran.
