Parliament’s 31-member Section 89 Impeachment Committee is meeting for the first time on Monday to elect a chairperson and begin outlining its process to investigate the Phala Phala scandal involving President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The committee was established after the Constitutional Court ruled that Parliament’s 2022 decision to reject the impeachment report was unconstitutional.
