Cape Town – Buti Manamela has been officially sworn in as South Africa’s new Minister of Higher Education.
The ceremony took place in Cape Town on Tuesday, a day after President Cyril Ramaphosa appointed him to the post.
Manamela replaces Nobuhle Nkabane, who was dismissed over the controversial — and now abandoned — SETA board selection process.
