US embassy to forward white South Africans’ petition to Trump for urgent review

Cape Town – The US embassy in South Africa says it has received a petition from a group of white South Africans seeking US intervention in the country’s land and racial policies.

The group, rallying under the slogan “Make South Africa Great Again”, submitted a 26-page memorandum outlining concerns over the Expropriation Act and farm murders.

The embassy confirmed it received the document and said it would transmit it to USPresident Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio for consideration.

“The US Embassy in South Africa received a petition this morning addressed to President Donald Trump, seeking U.S. support to change policies and laws affecting the Afikaner community in South Africa. We will transmit the full text of the document to the president and Secretary of State for immediate action.”

Trump recently signed an executive order cutting US funding to South Africa, citing alleged human rights violations linked to the country’s land policies.

“South Africa is confiscating land and treating certain classes of people VERY BADLY,” hewrote on his Truth Social platform.

“I will be cutting off all future funding to South Africa until a full investigation of this situation has been completed!.”

Elon Musk, a longtime critic of the South African government, also weighed in.

However, Afrikaner groups like AfriForum and the Orania Movement rejected Trump’s stance, emphasising their commitment to remaining in South Africa.

President Cyril Ramaphosa dismissed Trump’s intervention, saying that South Africa would not be “bullied” and reaffirmed the country’s sovereignty.
