Pretoria – President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to address the nation at 8pm on Monday from the Union Buildings in Pretoria following the Constitutional Court ruling that paved the way for an impeachment inquiry against him over the Phala Phala scandal.
Last week, the Constitutional Court declared Parliament’s December 2022 decision to reject the Section 89 panel report invalid.

The report found that Ramaphosa may have violated his oath of office and potentially breached anti-corruption laws in relation to the handling of the 2020 burglary at his Phala Phala game farm.
The ruling has intensified political pressure on Ramaphosa, with the ANC also convening an urgent NEC meeting to discuss the developments.
