Cape Town – South African Police Service detectives are investigating a triple murder after the bodies of three men were discovered in the Green Park informal settlement in Mfuleni on Monday morning.
Police said officers responded to a complaint at about 11am on 11 May 2026 and found the victims lying near one another in front of a shack.
The men, aged 21, 23 and 32, had sustained multiple injuries consistent with assault and stab wounds.
According to police, residents reported hearing shouting in the area during the early hours of the morning, but the bodies were only discovered later.
“Police responded to a complaint at about 11:00 and found the victims lying in close proximity to one another in front of a shack in the area,” SAPS said in a statement.
The Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Unit has taken over the investigation.
“The motive for the attack is still unknown and no arrests have been made. The investigation remains underway,” police said.
Authorities have appealed to members of the public with information that could assist the investigation to contact Crime Stop or submit anonymous tip-offs through the MySAPSApp.
