Sinoville, Pretoria – Three people sustained minor injuries when a light aircraft crashed in a field near Wonderboom Airport this morning.
Emergency responders from Best Care Emergency Medical Service (EMS) were dispatched to the scene at 10:28 AM after reports of a distressed twin-propeller aircraft. The crash site was located in the Sinoville/Annlin area.
Onboard the aircraft were the pilot and two passengers, all of whom survived with minor injuries. Best Care EMS deployed an Advanced Life Support team and a Cardiac Response Unit to navigate the challenging terrain and provide immediate medical care.
The injured individuals were stabilised on-site before being transported to the hospital for further assessment.
“The professionalism and speed of our team were critical in ensuring all three patients received the care they needed,” Best Care EMS said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, with authorities urging the public to direct inquiries to the Civil Aviation Authority.
