Limpopo – A major drug manufacturing operation estimated to be worth more than R600 million has been uncovered in Musina, Limpopo, with five people arrested.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) conducted the operation early on Friday, 21 August 2026, as part of efforts to dismantle organised drug syndicates. Police remain at the scene while investigations continue.
“At this hour,police in Limpopo uncovered a massive drug manufacturing operation worth an estimated R600 Million in Musina, Limpopo. This is a developing story. More details to follow soon, ” police said in a statement.
The Swartruggens operation uncovered narcotics worth an estimated R100 million, along with equipment and chemicals allegedly used to manufacture methamphetamine and three firearms.
