Cape Town – Eight suspects, including two serving members of the South African Police Service (SAPS), have been arrested in connection with a business robbery in Bedfordview, Gauteng.
According to police, the arrests were carried out on Sunday, 26 April 2026, by the Gauteng Tactical Response Team in collaboration with the Gauteng Traffic Police.
The two SAPS members are reportedly stationed at Florida police station.
Provincial SAPS management has strongly condemned the alleged involvement of its officers in criminal activity, warning that such conduct undermines the integrity of the organisation.
“All arrested suspects will face charges of business robbery and possession of stolen property,” police said in a statement.
The suspects are expected to appear in court soon, while investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
