Letsitele – Police in Letsitele, Limpopo, have launched a manhunt for a suspect after a 39-year-old man was allegedly deliberately run over with a vehicle near Xipungu soccer ground.
According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), the incident occurred at about 3:30pm on Sunday, 31 May 2026.
He sustained upper-body injuries and was rushed to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Police have opened a case of attempted murder and are searching for a suspect identified as Lazarus Khoza, whom investigators have urged to report to the nearest police station to assist with the investigation.
No arrests have been made.
Anyone with information that could assist police is urged to contact the investigating officer, Lieutenant Colonel Mavis Shiluvani, on 082 469 0900, call the Crime Stop hotline on 08600 10111, visit the nearest police station or submit information through the MySAPSApp.
Investigations are continuing.
