Cape Town – Police in Limpopo are reportedly investigating a case in which seven family members, including four children, were gunned down by another family member in Jimmy Jones Village just outside Malamulele.
The incident took place in the early hours of Christmas day.
According to News24, the alleged suspect killed his two brothers, four children, and the pregnant wife of one of the brothers.
“Shortly after midnight, the suspect, who is employed as a nurse, shot and killed his two brothers, a wife who was pregnant and four children, using his licensed firearm. Investigators are still collating other information, including the ages of the deceased,” the report quoted police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo as saying.
The man handed himself over at a police station in Thohoyandou after initially fleeing the scene, EWN reported.

Although the motive behind the killings remained unknown, police were linking the murders to a family feud.
“The motive for the incident is unknown at this stage but a family feud cannot be ruled out,? police said, according to Times Live.
The suspect faces seven counts of murder.
