Cape Town – Former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) secretary-general Godrich Gardee says he will set up a foundation in honour of his late daughter, Hillary.
Gardee said this in a recorded tribute that played at Hillary’s funeral on Saturday.
“We will miss your smile. the phone calls and text messages we had together between the 26 and 27 of April will remain indilibale in my heart. I will still carry out your instructions to collect your advanced diploma in IT at UNISA, we will hand it on the memorial wall of our house until eternity.
“I will look after your child as my granddaughter, that is all you left with me. You loved education and you love humanity. I will set up a Hillary Gardee Foundation as your legacy project… You were a jack of all trades and master of all,” said Gardee in a video.
