Cape Town – Eleven people were injured in a crash at the intersection of the N1 highway and M5 highway interchange, authorities confirmed.
According to Arrive Alive, emergency services responded to the scene after a bakkie collided with barriers at the busy interchange.
The incident, which occurred on 4 May, involved a vehicle crashing into a bridge structure.
A total of 11 patients were treated on scene, with injuries ranging from minor to serious.

Emergency responders attended to the injured and transported them to nearby medical facilities.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
