Durban – Three people sustained moderate injuries following a vehicle collision at the drop-off zone of Durban’s King Shaka International Airport on Saturday evening, 12 July 2025.
The KwaZulu-Natal VIP Protection Services (KZNVIP) said the accident occurred around the airport entrance area and was reported by passing motorists who witnessed the crash and quickly called for medical assistance.
“KZNVIP Ambulance responded promptly to the scene, where other emergency services were already in attendance. KZNVIP Medics assisted in stabilising the injured patients and ensured they were safely transported to nearby medical facilities for further treatment,” a statement said.
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation, and authorities have yet to confirm the sequence of events that led to the incident.
All relevant emergency teams, including police and traffic authorities, were on site to manage the scene and ensure safety in the busy airport area.
