Cape Town – Award-winning singer Shekhinah has surprised fans after revealing that she has welcomed her first child, a baby girl who is already three months old.
The “Suited” hitmaker shared the news on Friday, 11 September, posting a series of pregnancy photographs taken at the beach.
Shekhinah did not reveal her daughter’s name but celebrated the milestone with an emotional message dedicated to her baby girl.
“We are so lucky to have you with us baby girl,” she wrote.
“I am leaving these pictures here as a forever reminder of the magic that is pregnancy and a time stamp to when life changed forever for the better.”
Shekhinah also expressed her gratitude to God for the arrival of her daughter, adding: “By God’s grace you are here and more precious than we could have asked for.”
She ended the message by celebrating her daughter’s three month milestone.

The announcement caught many fans by surprise, with several praising the singer for managing to keep both her pregnancy and the arrival of her daughter private.
Her announcement was met with messages of congratulations from fellow celebrities and fans.
Londie London was among those celebrating the new mother, commenting: “Oohhhhhhh, congratulations mama.”
Another fan wrote: “Whoooahh!!! Congratulations sis really took it back to the beach.”
“Oh mama, I’m so happy for you! Congratulations!!!” another commented.
The singer has now entered a new chapter of her life as a mother, with fans celebrating the arrival of her baby girl alongside her.
