Cape Town – Author and motivational speaker Rachel Kolisi is preparing to take her Falling Forward event to London, where she hopes to create space for honest conversations about the pressures women face and the importance of asking for support.
Kolisi shared a preview of the discussions planned for the event in an Instagram post on Tuesday, 27 October. The event is scheduled for 19 November.
In her message, Kolisi reflected on the expectations placed on women to remain strong and manage multiple responsibilities, often without showing how much they are struggling.
“Being a woman shouldn’t mean carrying everything and making it look easy,” she wrote.
“We’re told to be strong, to be resilient and to keep going. But it’s also okay if that weight feels too heavy sometimes. You don’t have to carry it alone!”
She added that London audiences could expect similarly open discussions at the event.
“London, you’re in for a treat. These are the kinds of honest conversations you can look forward to at Falling Forward on the 19th of November,” she said.
Falling Forward is Kolisi’s personal project exploring healing, self-discovery and rebuilding life after major changes.

Through a documentary, memoir and screening roadshow, she has shared aspects of her journey towards rediscovering her identity, navigating uncertainty and finding a way forward on her own terms.
Although her separation and divorce from former Springboks captain Siya Kolisi form part of the broader context, the project explores themes beyond the end of a marriage. These include motherhood, faith, loss, personal growth and finding purpose during difficult periods.
The title reflects the idea that setbacks do not have to determine what comes next. Instead, difficult experiences can create opportunities for reflection, change and personal development.
Kolisi has also sought to create a supportive environment where women can share their experiences and feel less isolated in the challenges they face.
Her upcoming London event will extend that conversation to an international audience, with a focus on the pressures women experience and the value of allowing themselves to seek help rather than carrying every burden alone.
