Cape Town – Award-winning actress, Pearl Thusi was filled with glee after she gained recognition from international award-winning and iconic actress, Queen Latifah, for her stellar performance in the recently launched new Netflix series Fistful of Vengeance.
Fistful of Vengeance is the successful reproduction of the Martial Arts series: Wu Assassins, and is currently sitting at number one on the international streaming platform.
Pearl took to Twitter to share a video clip of Queen giving her a stamp of approval over her acting skills. She also hinted at her desire to work with Pearl one day.
“Pearl Thusi, what’s up? This is Queen Latifah, I just wanted to send out a shoutout to let you know, you are strong, you bad you know. I am watching you, watching you do your thing and keep doing your thing.

Pearl has pinned the video on her timeline and it has since gained over 57 000 likes and less than 8 000 retweets and still continuing.

Last year, the streaming platform cancelled her series, Queen Sono, which was a South African crime drama that was produced by a local producer, Kagiso Lediga.
It was reported at the time that the series was cancelled due to the production challenges that were brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Wu Assasins and Fistfull of Vengeance is the number one movie on the planet on the Netflix platform. I’m in that movie. Me. After Queen Sono got cancelled I was heart-broken. People celebrated my pain. I’m crying because God took time but he reminded me that I’m His. I’m so emotional,” tweeted Pearl.
