Cape Town – South African gospel power couple Ntokozo Mbambo and Nqubeko Mbatha are celebrating a remarkable milestone after marking 18 years of what they describe as a beautiful and blessed marriage.
On 18 May, the beloved couple melted hearts online as they penned touching tributes to one another on Instagram, reflecting on nearly two decades of love, faith and partnership.
According to The South African, their relationship extends far beyond romance. Together, the pair also create uplifting gospel music under Koko Music, a record label co-owned by Nqubeko.
The Mbathas are also proud parents to three children, whom they have intentionally chosen to keep away from the public eye as they protect their family’s privacy.
As they celebrated their anniversary, the couple gave fans a heartfelt glimpse into the love story that began in the early 2000s.
Award-winning singer Ntokozo shared an emotional message recalling how their journey first started when she was just 15 years old. She reflected on taking a picture with a young boy in 2001, unaware that he would one day become the love of her life, the father of her children and the man who would help fulfil her dreams.

Ntokozo spoke warmly about Nqubeko’s patience, gentleness and ability to make her laugh like no one else could. She added that although she did not know what the future held at the time, she believes God had already ordered their steps towards one another.
“In 2001, a 15-year-old girl took a picture with a boy not knowing that he would change her life forever. She didn’t know he was God’s perfect plan for her life.
She didn’t know he would tell her he loved her. She didn’t know that she would fall in love with him too. She didn’t know he would marry her seven years later. She didn’t know he would be the father of her children. She didn’t know he would make her dreams come true. She didn’t know he would be patient with her and gentle with her heart. She didn’t know that no one would make her laugh like he did. She didn’t know… But God did. And He ordered their steps to each other ❤️

Nqubeko also shared a touching tribute of his own, expressing how their journey together continues to grow sweeter with time.
