Cape Town – Popular South African DJ and television personality Lamiez Holworthy has undergone emergency surgery after being rushed to hospital, her management confirmed.
In a statement released on Sunday, management said Holworthy required an urgent surgical procedure, resulting in the postponement of her remaining appearances scheduled for Sunday and Monday.
“We would like to inform the fans, clients, event promoters, partners and stakeholders of Lamiez Holworthy that she was rushed to hospital and required an emergency surgical procedure,” management said.

While the exact nature of the medical emergency was not disclosed, her management reassured fans and business partners that her condition is not life-threatening.
The statement confirmed that her hospitalisation would affect her scheduled appearances and apologised to event promoters, organisers, clients and partners for the disruption.
“We confirm that her condition is not life-threatening. This will affect remaining events tonight and on August 10. We sincerely apologise to event promoters, organisers, clients and partners for any inconvenience caused,” the statement read.
Management said it would contact those affected and provide revised booking dates once Holworthy has been medically cleared to return to work.
