Cape Town – Reality television star Nozipho Ntshangase has opened up about her cosmetic surgery recovery, giving fans a candid update on her healing journey.
Sharing her experience on Instagram, Ntshangase revealed that the recovery process has been much easier than she initially expected.
In a post documenting her progress from the day she left hospital to the tenth day of recovery, the reality TV personality said she experienced far less pain than anticipated and was able to reduce her medication within a week.
“Surprisingly, the pain wasn’t too bad. I stayed on sleeping tablets for the first four nights to keep myself comfortable, but by Day 6 I was already taking fewer painkillers.”
Ntshangase also admitted that she was pleasantly surprised by how little swelling and bruising she experienced, describing her recovery as smoother than expected. She explained that the positive progress gave her confidence as each day passed.
“What really surprised me was how minimal the swelling and bruising were. Recovery has honestly been much smoother than I expected.”
By the seventh day of her recovery, Ntshangase had begun red light therapy at Lux Clinic, saying she plans to share more about that experience with her followers in the future. Three days later, on Day 10, her stitches were removed, allowing her to attend a public event.

Although she attended the event, Ntshangase said she used a filter on a video she shared because she was still self-conscious about the remaining swelling. She added that she is not yet permitted to wear make-up but is pleased with the progress she has made.
“By Day 10, my stitches were out and I was even able to attend an event.”
Reflecting on the journey so far, Ntshangase said she is taking her recovery one step at a time and is encouraged by how well the healing process is progressing.
“I’ve used a filter in the event video because I was still conscious of the swelling, but I’m so happy with how my recovery is going. One day at a time, and we’re getting there.”
