Cape Town – Music producer and DJ Prince Kaybee says he is unlikely to step into the boxing ring with rapper Cassper Nyovest, revealing that he turned down an offer from Nyovest’s team because it did not make financial sense.
Speaking during an interview on YFM’s Home Run with Ayanda MVP & Sinaye, Kaybee said he doubts the highly anticipated bout will ever take place.
“I doubt that it will ever happen. First of all, financially, it doesn’t make sense for me,” he said.
Kaybee revealed that he had received an email from Nyovest’s team offering him around R500,000 for the fight, but said the amount was not enough to justify the time and effort required to prepare.

“I saw the email from his team. They’re offering like half a mill. I’m not gonna train for half a million… They must give me like three maybe,” he said, suggesting he would consider the fight for around R3 million.
The Charlotte hitmaker also dismissed comparisons between himself and Nyovest, saying he does not believe they are evenly matched.
“Cassper will never get to my level, unfortunately. We are not even the same weight size,” he said.
