Durban — Fans were left furious after they were left stranded in the rain when Nasty C and Cassper Nyovest cancelled their gig due to wet equipment.
The rappers were set to perform the Durban leg of their African Throne Tour at People’s Park but frustration grew when the two announced the show would be cancelled, leaving many fans standing drenched in the rain.
The two issued a joint statement apologising to fans and saying the reason the show had to be cancelled was due to a damaged sound desk from the rain.
“Durban we really sorry that we weren’t able to perform today. The sound desk got damaged due to rain, after a number of attempts to try and recover the sound we had to make the tough decision of cancelling the show.”
“Our team is working to see how to best remedy this. Thank you for your support and we will keep you posted. Again, we’re so sorry,” they continued.

While some fans were empathetic about the weather and the circumstamces, others felt agrieved by their decision and they took to the comments section to vent their frsutrations with the rappers, who they felt acted unprofessionally and disrespected their fans for leaving them in the rain.
“But why didn’t y’all communicate that y’all just left us in the rain like that I’m disappointed mufasa been your fan since the beginning but the is very wrong” one fan commented.
“that was unprofessional😢 we had travelled all this far to get such dissapointment ..that’s poor management ..as your fans we feel like this was a setup…REFUND” said another disgruntled fan.
“AaaH bruuu in the rain for hours dawq💔💔💔” said another.
The wet weather has wrecked havoc across South Africa as hit music festival, Rocking The Daisies,
announced that they would be postponing the Cape Town and Joburg events
due to the storms that hit the Western Cape last week.
