Cape Town – Springbok and Munster lock Jean Kleyn and his wife, Aisling Kleyn, have welcomed their baby daughter, Eljse-Mae Kleyn, born on 29 April at the Limerick Regional Maternity Hospital.
The couple, who are also parents to their three-year-old son Elijah, shared their joy as Aisling announced the arrival on Instagram, describing the moment as life-changing and deeply emotional.

Aisling wrote that she was “forever in awe of how a normal day can end up holding the most extraordinary joy” and said the family are “absolutely obsessed” with their new arrival, adding that her name means “God’s promise”.
She also explained that the name is pronounced “L-sha Mae” for those unfamiliar with Irish pronunciation.
The birth marks a special moment for the family, with Elijah already a central part of their lives his name is even tattooed on Jean Kleyn’s right arm.
