Cape Town – Riky Rick’s baby mama, Bianca Jade Naidoo, has reportedly taken the High Court and Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi to court, as she fights to be recognised as the late artist’s wife and executor of his estate.
Ricky Rick, 34, died on February 23.
He committed suicide as a result of a mental health battle.
He left his mother, his five siblings, his wife Bianca, and their two children, his family said in a statement.
According to Sunday World, Bianca claimed in court papers that at the time of his death, she and the artist were “partners in a permanent opposite-sex life partnership, with the same or similar characteristics as a marriage after hitting it off on 26 May 2013”.
“At the time of my acceptance of a relationship with the deceased I lived with my first daughter, who was born out of a previous failed marriage. I expressed to the deceased that unless he was committed to him and myself having a stable relationship with a future, I would not permit him to meet my daughter. The deceased expressed that he wanted a long-lasting future with me, and we began living together with my daughter as a family during the same year of 2013 at my residential property bought for me by my parents in Bryanston, Gauteng,” read the papers, according to the report.
The businesswoman also stated that she and Ricky Rick had established a financial interdependence, as she performed all the administrative tasks related to the decease’s duties as entertainer/musician until his untimely death.
According to the report, it was believed that at the time of his death, the hip-hop mega star had secured endorsements from Vaseline, Kiwi, African Bank and Russian Bear. He reportedly owned a Ferrari and a Mercedes-Benz AMG GTS coupé, among his fleet of vehicles.
Ricky reportedly introduced her to his family in May 2013 and she introduced him to hers.
Bianca is the mother to Ricky Rick’s seven-year-old son, Maik Daniel Makhado and a daughter from her previous relationship, according to The Citizen.
She surfaced into the picture after her husband shared a video of the two of them dancing on Valentine’s Day.
The video went viral and garnered many views from social media active users.
