Johannesburg – Electra Mining Africa 2026 is set to bring together key players from the mining, manufacturing, energy and infrastructure sectors as businesses look for ways to improve efficiency, strengthen supply chains and manage rising operational costs.
The exhibition, which takes place from 7 to 11 September 2026 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre in Nasrec, will provide an opportunity for industry decision-makers to explore technologies, products and services aimed at addressing some of the challenges facing industrial operations.
Among the exhibitors will be RS South Africa, which plans to showcase procurement and inventory management solutions designed to help organisations improve operational efficiency and supply chain resilience.
“Electra Mining Africa is one of the most influential industrial and mining exhibitions on the continent, bringing together decision-makers from mining, manufacturing, energy and infrastructure sectors,” said Erick Wessels, Sales Director at RS South Africa.
“For us, it provides the perfect platform to engage directly with customers, better understand their operational priorities and demonstrate how our Value-Added Solutions help solve procurement and inventory challenges,” he added.
Focus on industrial efficiency
The exhibition comes as mining and industrial businesses face growing pressure from inflation, supply chain disruption and geopolitical uncertainty.
These challenges have increased the importance of procurement and inventory management, with businesses seeking to reduce costs while ensuring that critical equipment and supplies remain available.
RS South Africa said its presence at Electra Mining Africa would focus on how companies can improve purchasing processes, gain greater visibility of stock and reduce the risks associated with shortages and excess inventory.
“Our approach goes far beyond supplying products,” Wessels said.
“We work alongside customers to understand their operational objectives and develop tailored procurement and inventory strategies that improve productivity, reduce risk, optimise working capital and deliver measurable business outcomes.”
The company will demonstrate solutions including Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), which is aimed at ensuring critical maintenance, repair and operations products are available when required while reducing excess stock.
Technology and supply chain resilience
Digitalisation is expected to be another important theme at the exhibition, as industrial companies increasingly use data and technology to monitor operations, manage inventory and improve decision-making.
Electra Mining Africa will give industry stakeholders an opportunity to engage directly with suppliers and technology providers about solutions designed to improve reliability, reduce downtime and strengthen business continuity.
RS South Africa said visitors to its stand will be able to see demonstrations showing how businesses can improve stock visibility, automate replenishment and simplify procurement.
“Today’s operating environment demands smarter procurement practices, stronger inventory strategies and more resilient supply chains,” Wessels said.
“We look forward to welcoming customers and industry stakeholders to our stand at Electra Mining Africa 2026 to demonstrate how RS South Africa can help them achieve sustainable operational excellence.”
