Police have not yet established a motive for the shooting and investigations are continuing.
Meanwhile, in the Western Cape, four people were killed and two others injured in a mass shooting in Nyanga.
According to The Citizen, the victims were attacked when gunmen opened fire, leaving four people dead at the scene and two others requiring medical treatment.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, while detectives from specialised units have been tasked with tracing those responsible.
Western Cape police spokesperson Colonel André Traut said investigators are pursuing all available leads.
“Detectives are following up on all leads to identify and arrest those responsible. Additional police resources have been deployed to the area. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or use the MySAPS mobile application anonymously,” Traut said.
