Durban – A woman in her 50s was shot and killed in an early morning incident on Monday on Longacres Drive in Amanzimtoti, south of Durban.
According to ALS Paramedics, emergency services responded to the scene just before 7am, where South African Police Service and private security had already cordoned off the area.
Paramedics were directed to a vehicle where they found the driver believed to be in her 50s, with a gunshot wound to her upper body.

She was assessed but declared dead on the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear. Police have launched an investigation.
