Cape Town – The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has officially kicked off the TotalEnergies AFCON Morocco 2025 Diaspora Tour, a global campaign aimed at strengthening ties between the African continent and its diaspora communities.
CAF confirmed that the tour, which began this week, forms part of its build-up to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The football body said the initiative is “more than a tour; it is a showcasing of the spirit of African football.”
The campaign will make two major stops in Europe — first in London at Below the Lights, Piccadilly Circus on 28 November, and then in Paris at YOYO in the Palais de Tokyo on 4 December.

CAF said these events are designed to “forge an unbreakable bridge between the continent that creates legends and the diaspora that champions them.”
According to organisers, the tour seeks to honour the continent’s football heritage and the generations of Africans living abroad who continue to support and uplift the sport.
“It is a powerful celebration of a shared identity, where the rhythm of the continent meets the resonance of its global children,” CAF said.
The events will pay tribute to iconic African players who have risen to stardom in Europe while acknowledging the deep cultural connection that binds African fans worldwide.

“These events are a tribute to the enduring connection that pulses through every match, every cheer, and every goal,” CAF added, noting that the initiative also aims to “reconsecrate the bond they represent.”
A highlight of the tour will be the public display of the TotalEnergies AFCON trophy. CAF described its journey to London and Paris as “a symbol that the ultimate prize of African football belongs to all Africans across the globe, wherever they may be — from Casablanca to Paris, Lagos to London, and everywhere in between.”
With the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to be hosted in Morocco, CAF says the Diaspora Tour marks the first major step in rallying global excitement.
“This is where heritage meets legacy, and where the road to Morocco 2025 begins, together,” the organisation said.
