Cape Town – Sibusiso Ncengwa has been sentenced to 25 years in prison by the Pietermaritzburg High Court for the 2017 murder of former ANC Youth League secretary-general Sindiso Magaqa.
Ncengwa pleaded guilty to shooting Magaqa in uMzimkhulu and also to the attempted murders of three others.
He faced 11 charges including conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Sibusiso Ncengwa was sentenced as follows:

Judge Nontuthuzelo Mlaba condemned Ncengwa’s disregard for human life.
Several of the sentences will run concurrently, with the main 25-year term remaining effective.
