Shivambu was recently removed as secretary-general after visiting fugitive pastor Shepherd Bushiri in Malawi.
Though sidelined, Shivambu insists he won’t leave the MK party.
“I have not resigned from uMkhonto weSizwe, and I will never resign from uMkhonto weSizwe,” Shivambu said during a press briefing on Thursday.
He claims his removal was based on false intelligence suggesting he wanted to oust Jacob Zuma as party leader.
Shivambu also accused unnamed individuals of looting R7 million monthly from party funds and criticised the idea of political parties becoming “family projects.”
Meanwhile, the new MK MPs will be sworn in on Wednesday.
