Pretoria – President Cyril Ramaphosa on Monday received a briefing from Russian President Vladimir Putin on the outcomes of his recent meeting with US President Donald Trump in Anchorage, Alaska.
According to a statement released by the Presidency, Putin expressed satisfaction with the discussions, noting an emerging alignment on efforts to advance the peace process.

President Ramaphosa welcomed the briefing and emphasised the need for further compromise on key issues to achieve lasting peace between Russia and Ukraine.
“Both leaders once again pledged to maintain open lines of communication and to continue their cooperation on issues of bilateral interests,” the statement said.
