Johannesburg – The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) will introduce new evidence in the R150 million Digital Vibes scandal involving former Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize, his family, and several companies, reports say.
According to SABC News, the Special Tribunal approved the admission of a critical affidavit detailing how public funds for Covid-19 and National Health Insurance (NHI) communication contracts were allegedly misappropriated.
Investigators claim the Mkhize family personally benefitted from these funds without providing any services, and the SIU says the affidavit is essential to ensure the case reflects all key findings, the report said.
