Durban – Former Eskom CEO Brian Molefe has been promoted to Treasurer General of the MK Party following another leadership reshuffle by party leader Jacob Zuma.
Molefe replaces Mpiyakhe Limba with immediate effect and is expected to bring experience in public administration and finance.
The reshuffle also saw Colleen Makhubele removed as Chief Whip for a second time, with NCOP member Mmabatho Mokoena-Zondi appointed in an acting capacity.
Molefe, who became an MK Party MP in August 2024, has risen quickly within the party since it entered Parliament as the official opposition.
