Cape Town – Two civic organisations, StandUpSA and Enough Is Enough, have called for President Cyril Ramaphosa’s resignation, citing corruption, weak economic growth, inequality, and poor leadership as key reasons.
The groups will lead a “Ramaphosa Must Go” march in Pretoria on Monday, starting at Church Square at 9am and proceeding to the Union Buildings, where they will hand over a memorandum of grievances.
In their statement, the organisers said the protest aims to demand accountability, transparency, and decisive leadership, accusing Ramaphosa of leading a “disconnected presidency” that has failed to address the everyday struggles of South Africans.

“This march is about more than removing one man from office. It is about demanding accountability, transparency, and decisive leadership. South Africans from all walks of life are uniting to say enough is enough.”
They criticised the government for securing new loans without improving the economy or public services.
“Our economy is collapsing, basic services are deteriorating, and leadership at the highest level continues to fail ordinary citizens. We march because we love our country and refuse to watch it fall apart in silence,” the organisation said.
StandUpSA described the event as a peaceful march of unity, emphasising that it is “not out of anger but love for the country.” Motorists have been warned of potential traffic congestion due to the demonstration.
