Cape Town – EFF leader Julius Malema has told Elon Musk to “voetsek” after the billionaire criticised the party’s singing of Kill The Boer, calling it a “call for genocide.”
The exchange played out on Musk’s X platform, where he shared videos showing Malema leading EFF supporters in the song outside the East London Magistrates Court.
Musk labelled the performance as indicative of racial violence against White South Africans.
Malema was addressing a crowd outside the East London Magistrates Court, where he was attending a pre-sentencing hearing for his conviction on charges including the unlawful discharge of a firearm in public.
South Africa today: Leader of the EFF and convicted criminal Julius Malema again chants about murdering farmers and the white minority.
Malema testified in 2022 that you’d know “Kill the Boer” was meant literally if he fired a real gun into the air at a rally … which he did. pic.twitter.com/ToiUdXFZJj

Continuing his characteristic strong rebuttals, Malema pushed back against Musk’s claims of “white genocide” in South Africa.
Responding to a tweet from EFF spokesperson Sinawo Thambo that told Musk to “Go to hell, Nazi,” Malema fired back: “You can also voetsek,” later clarifying that the comment was aimed directly at Musk.
You can also voetsek!

The latest exchange adds another chapter to the ongoing online feud between the outspoken EFF leader and the South African-born billionaire, which has frequently centred on politics, race, and interpretations of the country’s historical struggles.
