Durban – Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla has resigned as a member of Parliament for the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party.
The announcement was made by MK Party national chairperson Nathi Nhleko during a press briefing on Friday.
She has faced scrutiny over allegedly sending 17 South Africans to Russia, where they reportedly ended up fighting in the Ukraine war—a claim she denies.
Zuma-Sambudla is also on trial in the Durban High Court for her alleged involvement in the July 2021 unrest, facing charges including terrorism and inciting violence.
