Cape Town – Johannesburg Mayor Dada Morero has launched a task team dubbed the “bomb squad” to address the city’s declining service delivery.
The team is led by ANC veteran and ANC Veterans League president Snuki Zikalala, who is the only paid member, according to EWN.
The rest of the squad — comprising experienced former city managers and executives — are volunteering their services.
The “bomb squad’s” mission is to support city departments and ensure the effective implementation of service delivery plans.
The team was officially introduced during a media briefing in Soweto.
