Johannesburg – The Johannesburg city council has reappointed Floyd Brink as city manager after months of delays in filling the post.
Brink, who previously held the position, was ordered by the Johannesburg High Court last year to step down due to an irregular appointment.
Following new interviews, he emerged as the top candidate.
His immediate priority will be preparing the city for the upcoming G20, while tackling ongoing challenges such as water and electricity shortages, poor infrastructure, and the expansion of informal settlements.
