Cape Town – A video showing a male lion jumping off a moving truck in Bakerville, North West, has gone viral on social media.
Shared by Izak du Plessis on Facebook, one clip shows the lion landing on the road, while another shows it walking along a fence.
The lion appears uninjured.
The owner neither confirmed nor denied the incident but said his lion is safely caged on his farm.
Comments on the video suggest the lion was darted and returned to its owner.
