He reaffirmed SAPS’s determination to bring the perpetrator to justice, promising that the investigation will continue until accountability is secured.

Addressing the dangers faced by law enforcement, Cachalia condemned the violent attacks on police officers as assaults on the rule of law and public safety. He called on all SAPS members to remain vigilant and make full use of their issued equipment in the line of duty.
“These senseless acts of violence against our men and women in blue are an attack on the rule of law and on the safety of all South Africans,” the minister said.
“We strongly condemn these heinous crimes, and we will not rest until those responsible are brought to justice. We call on all SAPS members to remain alert at all times and to make full and appropriate use of the tools of trade issued to them.”
The SAPS continues its intensive manhunt for Moyo, who is considered armed and dangerous following the fatal shooting of the two detectives in Roodepoort.
Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward to assist with the investigation.
