Cape Town – Tiffany Meek’s bail hearing continues on Friday in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court, now entering its fifth day.
Meek, 31, faces charges including the murder of her 11-year-old son, Jayden-Lee Meek, who went missing on May 13, 2025, and was found dead near their home the following day. She is also charged with crimen injuria and obstructing justice.
Her lawyer, Noven Naidoo, is cross-examining a police investigating officer, focusing on conflicting witness statements about what Jayden-Lee was wearing on the day he disappeared, as well as discrepancies in the apartment complex’s occurrence book. The officer was unable to clarify some inconsistencies due to missing records.
The National Prosecuting Authority opposes Meek’s bail application.
