Cape Town – Tiffany Nicole Meek, 31, appeared in court on Monday, weeping as she faced a charge of murdering her 11-year-old son, Jayden-Lee Meek.
Jayden-Lee was reported missing in May 2025 and was later found unconscious and undressed on a staircase at their Fleurhof apartment complex.
He had multiple bruises but no visible blood, and was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
IOL reported at the time that provincial police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo said that Jayden-Lee’s mother, who was working from home at the time, became anxious when her son failed to return home as expected.
