Cape Town – One of the three men accused of murdering two women and disposing of their bodies in a pigsty in Limpopo has claimed he was forced to feed the bodies to pigs.
The accused — pig farmer Zackariah Olivier (60), his farm supervisor Rudolph de Wet (20), and Zimbabwean national William Musoro (50) — appeared in the Polokwane High Court on Monday, and the case was postponed to 7 August 2025, with the trial set to start on 11 August.
They were arrested after the discovery of two decomposed women’s bodies in a pigsty on a farm in Sebayeng, outside Mankweng, near Polokwane, on 20 August 2024.
Their arrests followed a thorough investigation by the Provincial Tracking Team and Murder and Robbery Unit.
De Wet has turned state witness and alleges that Olivier shot the two women, Maria Makgato and Lucia Ndlovu, after they came to the farm to collect expired food.
