Cape Town – New evidence presented in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Monday has revealed disturbing details surrounding the death of 11-year-old Jayden-Lee Meek, whose mother, Tiffany Meek, is accused of his murder.
Jayden-Lee was reported missing on 13 May and found dead the next day near his mother’s apartment.
An investigating officer testified that the boy had multiple injuries, including cuts, bruises, and blood on his lips. He was wearing only black underwear when discovered.

A police sniffer dog detected possible blood on a white pillow in Tiffany’s bedroom, which was taken for DNA testing. Blood was also found on the mattress.
Jayden-Lee’s school items, including his red jacket, were found inside the apartment, matching a security guard’s statement about his last known appearance.
Duma highlighted several inconsistencies in Tiffany’s timeline and statements.
While Tiffany claimed police refused to open a missing person’s case, records showed the case was opened immediately. She also allegedly misled officers during the initial search and delayed returning home after being informed her son was found.
The cause of death was confirmed as blunt force trauma to the head. Toxicology tests were negative. A full forensic report is still pending.
The case has been postponed to Tuesday, 22 July.
